Morning, Pals.
I have a number of emails now which request I include the approximate cost of the dishes
on the site for an easy reference in these difficult times. I will try to increase to this level of detail. Keep in mind this is only a general estimate and the difficulty will be in representing
the cost of bulk purchased pantry items, but I will try to get as close as I can.
Be well,
The Hostess

Perfectly sensible request, but very tough to do accurately when you are dealing with a global audience. You will have people who will need to travel to a gourmet shop to purchase the same item that someone else can get from their local farm stand.
I would limit yourself to statements like "here in the northeast this is in season now so it is both plentiful and a great bargain".
I agree wholeheartedly! I think that people would understand if you print things like "these ingredients were already in my pantry."
I often buy things just because they are "specially priced" and then troll my good blog-friends for recipes. Thanks to you and so many others for being my test kitchens!
Oh! My pleasure Anon. And DH, all noted with thanks! So, I have tried this with the last two recipes before returning here to your comments, and it is really difficult. Also, I think I might be too cheap to face this - people who wrote in to ask this of me, it is not looking good!
