It is Old Bay Seasoning's 70th anniversary and in honor of this milestone, Old Bay has generously offered to provide a Blushing Hostess reader with an Old Bay gift basket laden with seasoning, recipes, and a pile of signature gifts. I don't know about you, but I would not approach a crab or lobster without Old Bay; as you know, because I am certain you have my lobster-stuffed mushroom recipe committed to memory by now.
Here is what we'll do: One entry if you leave me a comment. Two entries if you leave me a comment linking back to this post and mentioning the Blushing Hostess blogs. The winner will be drawn at random on July 15th. Tell your friends.

Well, that's a fun giveaway! Happy 70th to Old Bay. You don't look a day over 50. :-)
ReplyDeleteEven here on the prairie where crab and lobster have to be "imported" -- we use Old Bay! Didn't realize it was that old!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveawy. I love Old Bay seasonings and use them when I can. Thanks so much for a cool giveway
ReplyDeleteNice Giveaway! : )
ReplyDelete70 years is a long time - Old Bay is just that good. I use it as a secret ingredient in several recipes.
ReplyDeleteHI, Catherine, well count me in. I love Old Bay seasoning.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get to know Old Bay. Where have you been all my life?
ReplyDeleteWhen I moved to Wales, someone gave me a tin of OB, and I would just open it and smell it sometimes... and nearly break down crying for the memories that came hurling back.
ReplyDeleteHere's our OB summer treat - OB sprinkled on puffy cheetos.
I photoshopped a cheetos bag and propped it up in front of a bowl of these and they disappeared.
Imagine steamed shrimp without Old Bay - just doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteI love Old Bay for making peel-and-eat shrimp!
ReplyDeleteIt has been some time since I have bought or used Old Bay, but I do remember that it's very good so I need to try it again (maybe with Cheetos too!). I am also going to try your sort-of Moroccan chicken recipe -- if your two-year-old likes it, then it should likely appeal to those of mine who are so very picky!
ReplyDeleteI really missed reading your blog this past week (I was moving...and still don't have internet at home till next Tuesday). This is a good time to have come back :) -- thank you, and Old Bay for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI grew up with Old Bay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We had a steady diet of steamed crabs and soft crabs and also added Old Bay to potato salad, cole slaw, deviled eggs..you name it.
ReplyDeletethanks!

Ohhh, what a great giveaway! I was just enjoying my first visit to your blog and couldn't leave without entering. Old Bay is wonderful on seafood and I like to add it for extra flavor on other dishes as well.
